HB 1478: President Archuleta gave testimony focused on the importance of the teacher`s role in supporting this bill, which was heard 2/2 to home education. President Archuleta testified in favor of the bill, which passed in the House of Representatives on 25/1. It passed the Senate on 3/5 by a vote of 41 to 6 and was signed by the governor. SB 2215: This bill was a direct attack on teachers` voices and the collective bargaining process. NDU was able to work to pass some amendments to improve the bill, but unfortunately, it passed the Senate on 2/16 by a vote of 37 to 10 and the House on 6/4 to 29.

SB 2003: This is the budget account of NDUS and universities. It was unanimously adopted by the Senate on 23.2., the House of Representatives on 14.4. by a vote of 72 to 22 and was signed by the governor on 22.4. HB 1281: This terrible bill would have diverted funding from public schools to private and home schools. It narrowly passed the House of Representatives with 50 votes to 44 out of 23.2., but fortunately failed in the Senate with 22.3. with 15 to 32 votes. HB 1075: Eliminates days reserved for the Fall Conference. That would leave the decision to the local school districts.
